Day 1

Arrival in the Faroe Islands and pickup at the airport. Departure to Gásadalur, a village with twelve permanent residents, which was isolated until 2006. Walk to Múlafossur waterfall, whose cascade falls directly into the Atlantic. On the way back, stop at a viewpoint overlooking the rock formations of Tindhólmur and Gáshólmur. Drive to Lake Sørvágsvatn, where, according to legend, lives the nykur - a water demon who usually takes the form of a steed. Walk along the trail along the shores of the lake to the Bøsdalafossur waterfall and climb the Trælanípa slave escarpment.

Walking time: 2 hours.
Difficulty level: easy.

Drive through the town of Sandavágur. For those who wish, a short walk to Trøllkonufingur - an unusual abrasion spire, according to local legends being a witch's finger, which the rising sun turned into a boulder. Difficulty level: very easy.

Day 2

We move on to the Faroese capital Tórshavn.

On site, we visit a defensive fort, built just off the harbor to guard the city from attack by Turkish and Berber pirates. Visit Cape Tinganes, a government district that is the cradle of Faroese statehood. It was here that the first ting, the equivalent of a parliamentary assembly in the Viking world, was convened in 850.

Walk along the capital's main promenade - Nils Finnsensgøta and the Vágsbotn waterfront. A visit to the Öström store, which features Faroese artists' wares. Drive to Kirkjubøur - a small village at the end of the island of Streymoy, which in the first centuries of the second millennium served as the spiritual capital of the Faroe Islands. It was here that the so-called Faroese Letter of 1298 was written, which is the oldest document in the Faroese language. Tour the ruins of the unfinished St. Magnus Cathedral and visit the oldest still inhabited house in Europe.

On the way back, visit the picturesque village of Saksun on Streymoy Island with its iconic white church and impressive Pollurin lagoon. Return to your accommodation. Dinner on your own. Free time.

Day 3

Breakfast on your own.
Visit the whaling station við Áir, the remains of which are an open-air museum exhibit. Drive to the town of Tjørnuvík with a stop at the 140-meter double-cascade Fossá waterfall. Walk on the beach in Tjørnuvík overlooking the spires

Risin and Kellingin, For those willing - trekking to an extremely photogenic viewpoint above the village.
Transfer to the coastal village of Gjógv. The settlement is cut by a 200-meter long ravine. The deep rift is connected to the open ocean and for centuries has served as a secluded haven for small boats. Walk around the village, for those willing - trek along the cliffs above the gorge. Walking time: 1h.

Day 4

Sightseeing in the Northern Islands. First, the island of Borðoy with the regional capital and the second largest town in the Faroe Islands - Klaksvík. Weather permitting, trek to the local summit of Klakkur (413 m above sea level; walking time: 2h, difficulty level: easy).


Drive to the neighboring island of Viðoy to the archipelago's northernmost village.
Viðareiði. The next point of the day is Kunoy Island, where we will visit one of the few forest plantations.

On the way back, we'll make a stop in the village of Norðragøta, where we'll visit an unusual municipal office that is also a bridge. Near the town hall is a historic wooden church from 1833 with a traditional structure of tarred beams. It was from the village of Norðragøta that the leader of Tróndur í Gøtu originated. Transfer to the airport - at least 3h before the departure time. NOTE: The program is a framework and may change due to weather conditions. The final decision on the implementation of the day's program is made by the pilot after analyzing the meteorological situation and announcements of local services.
