❄️ Greenlandic Adventure in Ilulissat – 6 magical days filled with ice, northern lights, adventure, and Arctic silence 🇬🇱
Accommodation: Hotel Ilulissat
⸻
📍 Day 1 – Arrival and First Impressions
We arrive in Ilulissat in the evening – a place where time slows down and nature speaks in whispers.
After checking in at the charming Hotel Ilulissat, we take a short walk through the town to get our first taste of the Arctic atmosphere.
Dinner at the hotel restaurant, and if the sky is kind – northern lights hunting either from the hotel terrace or after a short drive outside the town.
⸻
📍 Day 2 – A Glacier That Takes Your Breath Away
We start the day with an unforgettable boat trip through the Ilulissat Icefjord – one of Greenland’s most stunning sights and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Towering icebergs drifting majestically on the water create a landscape that feels otherworldly.
After the tour – lunch at a local restaurant known for the best halibut in town.
In the afternoon (weather permitting), we’ll visit the Ilulissat Museum located on a hill with a panoramic view of the fjord.
The evening? Eyes to the sky once again – the northern lights can surprise us at any moment.
⸻
📍 Day 3 – Arctic Power and Adventure
Time for something truly authentic: a full-day hiking expedition in the fresh Arctic air!
We set off along scenic trails that take us through snowy hills and rugged landscapes to breathtaking glacier viewpoints.
It’s a day of physical activity, deep connection with nature, and complete escape from the everyday world.
Note: Sturdy trekking shoes are essential – the terrain is challenging, but the views are more than worth it.
⸻
📍 Day 4 – Northern Traditions: Dogs and Sky
A full day dedicated to one of the Arctic’s most iconic experiences – a dog sledding adventure.
This isn’t just an activity – it’s a deep dive into a culture shaped by generations of living in extreme conditions.
In the evening – a helicopter flight over the icefjord.
A bird’s-eye view of this frozen wonderland? An absolute dream come true.
⸻
📍 Day 5 – Oqaatsut – The Fishing Soul of Greenland
We set out on a 10-hour boat journey to Oqaatsut, a picturesque fishing village.
Along the way – traditional handline fishing, just like the locals do. Silence, crisp air, and you with a line in the heart of the Arctic sea.
Upon arrival, we’ll explore the village’s history and enjoy a 3-course meal in a cozy, home-style restaurant.
In the evening – we return to Ilulissat… and maybe catch one last northern lights show?
⸻
📍 Day 6 – Farewell to the Arctic
In the morning, we say goodbye to Ilulissat and fly to Nuuk, from where we continue our journey back to Poland.
We return changed – calmer, inspired, and filled with memories that will stay with us forever.
Important: A non-refundable deposit of €900 is required upon registration. Breakfast is included. Flights are not included and should be arranged individually.
